Nefeli Chatzimina is a New-York based architect holding a Master’s of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University and a Master’s of Architectural Engineer from N.T.University of Athens. Principal co-founder of X|Atelier, she has worked as an Architect for Bernard Tschumi in New York. Nefeli has taught at the National University of Athens and Lund Technical University in Sweden and is a visiting juror at Columbia University and the Pratt Institute of New York for final studio reviews. She has studied Architecture in Lisboa, the Netherlands and has graduated from the NTUA in Athens, having been awarded with the State Scholarship Foundation and Honorable Mention. Her work was selected among the First Distinctive Projects in the 4th European Biennial of landscape in Barcelona, has been published in magazines including ‘Form_The making of Design’ and exhibited in galleries of New York, Los Angeles, Lexington and the Royal Institute of British Architects, in London. Projects of her own have been realised including a retail store and a housing project that have already been built. Nefeli Chatzimina prior to joining Bernard Tschumi Architects NYC she has been key designer and project team member in various offices, i.e. D+L Potiropoulos and Nikos Ktenas Architect in Athens. Nefeli Chatzimina is an awarded piano soloist from the Music Conservatoire, Athens, Greece and has practiced and studied Dance since 1985.
